Prairie North Media is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The two sides of the business look unrelated from the outside, but they draw on the same habits: planning for the things that can go wrong, rehearsing before it counts, and being straightforward about what a job will take.
A live event gives you one chance to get it right, in front of a room full of people. Software gives you the opposite problem — nobody sees it working, and everybody notices when it isn't. We approach both the same way, by building for the day something goes sideways rather than for the demo.
